McDonald's goes digital in Denmark drive-thru menus
In a deal estimated to be worth nearly DKK 30 million ($3.9 million), McDonald's will use digital signage to upgrade drive-thru menus at more than 80 locations in Denmark, according to a press release. The signs are designed to display dynamic information that changes based on the time of day, and the display optimizes itself for brightness and visibility conditions throughout the day.
"Digital displays for menus, inspiration and information have become apparent at McDonald's, and it's only a matter of time before restaurants in Denmark will be updated," said Fannie Pramming, McDonald's Denmark PR manager, in a press release.
